Naroa leads the technology work of Giga, a join initiative between UNICEF and ITU to connect every school to the internet by 2030. This includes the development and in country deployment of various open-source solutions for accelerating school connectivity. Prior to joining UNICEF, she lived in Kenya and worked with various companies, from a startup that was trying to change the way the world understands agriculture to a non-profit that empowered local entrepreneurs through access to finance. Naroa holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, USA and a MS in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad del País Vasco, Spain.
